Hello crafter's! How are you all?

Today I am back with another really quick and easy card. Cards don't need to be complicated! The simplest of cards can be so effective. And let's face it, sometimes we just don't have the time for 'complicated', do we?! Or indeed, the materials. Sometimes, it's good to strip it right back.

So, in a few easy steps, I'll show you what I did...

Dani Silver Butterfly Birthday

With a UK A6 card in mind, I started by prepping my matts and layers using some beautiful Silver mirror card with some simple white Super Smooth 300gsm card.

I trimmed some of the Silver Mirror card down to a few mm smaller round each edge than a UK A6 card base. Then, cut a piece of White Super Smooth 300gsm card several mm smaller than this. I feel that with mirror card, less is more so I didn't want the border to be too thick.

Danis Top Tip

I popped my mirror 'frame' aside and set to work on my main layer.

I used embossing ink through my stencil, placing the stencil to cover the right side of the card. Then, I set this with silver embossing powder to compliment the Silver theme.

I then stuck this layer to my silver frame using wet adhesive. I then adhered these layers to a pre prepared top fold white 300gsm A6 card blank using foam tape.

Next, I die cut my butterfly using Silver Glitter card 220gsm. This cut like a dream! I adhered this so it was offset from the parameters of the card using wet adhesive.

I had a preprinted sentiment in my stash which I placed in the centre of the Butterfly with foam tape.

To finish the card, I added some Silver gems using glossy accents.

This was the card complete!

Until next time, take care.

Love, Dani xx
