Good morning Vic here today.
I have made a really fun thank you shaker card.
You will need:
- Baby Pink Plain Card 240gsm
- New Lilac Smooth Card 240gsm
- Turquoise Colour Card 240gsm
- White Card Super Smooth 300gsm
- Stick it! Double Sided Tape 6mm
- Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm
- Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml
You will also need:
- Critter stamps
- Watercolour paints
- Circle dies (Uniquely Creative)
- Acetate
- Sequins and Gems
- Heat Gun
- Versamark Ink
- White Embossing Powder
To make the card base I trimmed down a piece of Baby Pink Plain Card 240gsm to 4 1/4" and scored at 5 7/8". I then trimmed down another piece that was exactly the same size as the card front. Using this piece if card I run this through the die cutting machine using a circle die. I the die cut another small circle frame using some New Lilac Smooth Card 240gsm. I the turned this piece over and using some Stick it! Double Sided Tape 6mm I adhered the acetate over the circle back. I then added Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm all around the edge and filled the center up with sequins and gems. I adhered this to m y card front using some more Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm. I then used some Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml to adhere down the New Lilac Smooth Card 240gsm circle die.
Using a piece of White Card Super Smooth 250gsm I stamped and carefully water coloured the images in. Once dry I trimmed them out and adhered down onto the shaker card.
I then heat embossed the sentiment onto a piece of Turquoise Cumbria Colour Card 270gsm and adhered this onto my card.
To finish the card off I added some more gems which I adhered down using Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml.
I hope you have fun making some shaker cards!
