Hi I’m Katharine (or Kat) and for as long as I can remember I’ve always been into some sort of crafting! When I was younger I loved cross stitch. My Nan used to give me her old books and threads to use. I also loved the ‘get set kits’; I had the cross stitch, candle making and stamping boxes (I still have them!)

I first got into paper crafting when I was 19. I was gifted a small box and it had card blanks inside, some paper fairies that you could cut out, beads and bits of coloured hand made paper. I made a few cards and that was it for a while. It wasn’t until I was pregnant with my son and my mum brought me a scrapbook album from America that I first discovered the world of scrapbooking. There wasn’t a lot of choice then but I was obsessed with watching with QVC especially with Dawn Bibby. I managed to do the first two years of my sons life and then didn’t really have time after that as I had my daughter.

Fast forward a good number of years and I’ve really got back into crafting. The last 4 years has really fuelled my creativity, especially after creating a space for myself and buying a large craft desk for most of my supplies. Like any messy crafter I end up trashing it every time I make anything and have a huge mess to clean up. But that’s part of the fun!

Not only do I love paper crafting but I also enjoy planning, mixed media and art journaling. And when I’m not sitting at my desk I’m a self taught cake maker, which I’ve been doing for over 5 years.
