Good Morning Vic here today.

I love making people laugh and this sweet Koala card is sure to bring a smile to someone's face.

You will need the following card making supplies:

You will also need:

  • Large leaf stamp (Jane's doodles)
  • Koala Stamps and greeting (Uniquely Creative)
  • Copic Markers
  • Leaf Die (Hello Bluebird)
  • Heat Gun
  • Versafine ink
  • White embossing powder
  • Gems

To make the card base I trimmed down a piece of Black Plain Card 240gsm to 4 1/4 inches and then scored the card at 5 7/8 inches.

Next I trimmed the card front piece using White Card Super Smooth 250gsm. I trimmed this a little bit smaller than the card base. I then used the large leaf die and stamped a background of leaves. Using some green copic markers I coloured all the leaves in. I then used a dark grey and black marker to colour the whole background in. This does take time but I think its really worth it as I had lots of fun colouring the background. I then used some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm and adhered this to my card base.

Next I stamped the koalas onto a piece of White Card Super Smooth 250gsm and coloured them in. I then trimmed them out and started die cutting some leaves. I used a piece of Xmas Green Double Sided Pearlised Card 300gsm for this. I then adhered the leaves and koalas down with some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm and Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml.

Next I heat embossed the sentiments using white embossing powder onto some more Black Plain Card 240gsm. I trimmed these down and adhered onto the card with some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

To finish the card off I added some gems.

I hope this inspires you to make your own background.
