Watermarked Final

Hello everyone,

Nicole here to share a fun card made using the fabulous Papermilldirect Canary Yellow card which is currently on special offer.  I complimented it with the Black Smooth and  White Smooth cards.

I used:

  • Silhouette cut file Sunburst Template. You can find it here.
  • Distress inks Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade
  • Black Smooth, White Smooth and Canary Yellow Papermilldirect card
  • Watercolour card
  • Water spraybottle
  • Altenew Label Love stamps

I took a piece of watercolour card and cut it down to 10cm by 14.5cm and created a inked background on it using distress inks. I did this by pressing the ink pads down onto a non porous surface, in this case a glass work mat, and sprayed the ink with water to make a puddle of ink. Press the water colour card into the puddle of ink you have made.

Dry the card or let it dry naturally and then repeat the process adding more ink to the page until you are happy with the look.

I stamped out a sentiment from the stamp set by Altenew, these are designed to look like labels from a label maker and are very cool.

I a cut file from Sarah Hurley available from the Silhouette Design store called Sunburst Template. You can find it here.  I resized the file to 10cm by 14.5cm to fit over the water colour panel. I cut the shape from the Canary Yellow Papermilldirect card.

I then glued it over the top of the water colour panel.

I then glued this onto a slightly bigger panel of the Black Smooth card and then onto a card base made of the White Smooth card.

I added my sentiment on with foam tape and the card was complete!
