Wallet gift card holder0
Nicole here to share a make with you presenting a gift card for fathers day. It is always much more fun presenting gift cards in a nice way, instead of just inside a card. For this I used:
- Papermilldirect Buff card
- Papermilldirect Ivory paper plain
I used a piece of paper to make a rough template, you can see this below. I cut the card to 23.7cm long and folded it in half length ways.alt="" src="step_1_card_holder_dad.jpg" style="width: 590px; height: 590px;" />
Keep the piece you cut off as this will be used to make a pocket for the gift card. Fold the card in half again to make a wallet shape.
I repeated these steps in the Buff card. I used a strong tape (red line) to adhere the sides together.
Once you fold the card back down onto the tape you have a wallet with an opening on the top for 'money' or in my case, a note. I left the note sticking up a lot so it was quite obvious.
I used the excess piece that was cut off and stuck that on with red line tape after rounding the corners to make the pocket for the gift card.
I die cut a shape for the front and stamped DAD on this. I added some faux stitching onto it also. I used a gold thread for this.
I think this is a really fun way to present a gift card, and makes it that bit more exciting for the reciever!
