Hello again, Barbara here with a larger than usual birthday card, made using the beautiful dark violet cardstock. I think this colour looks very regal 😄

I started off, as always, gathering all my components together.

On this card I’ve used:-

Papermilldirect A4 Paper in:

Dark Violet 240gsm

White Linen 255gsm

Distress Oxide inks in Lucky Clover, Twisted Citron, Milled Lavender and Wilted Violet

Black inkpad

Sizzix square dies

Altenew stamps and matching dies

Sentiment stamp.

I made a 7” square base card from two sheets of dark violet, a white ‘Matt’ and a dark violet frame, using the square dies.

On scrap linen card, I stamped the images then die-cut them.

I stamped the sentiment onto the white ‘matt’........always do the sentiment before assembling the card, as it’s so much easier to rectify mistakes at this point.

I then assembled all the pieces using double-sided tape & d-s foam tape and added a few dots using black Enamel Accents from Ranger.

I also added a 6” ‘matt’ of white linen to the inside to write my birthday message.

Finished 😄

Thanks for looking,

Barbara x
