Hi bloggers, Barbara back again with a little set of cards which can be used for most occasions. It's always nice to have a few cards ready, and these could even be made omitting the sentiment, until needed.

Anyway, to start, I cut 3 images from Papermilldirect black smooth card stock using a sunflower die.

Then I inked up 3 scrap pieces of Hopsack card with various colours of Ranger Distress Oxides.

I applied a very fine line of glue to the die-cut image, and adhered to the coloured background.

I trimmed the excess background then adhered the complete topper onto a base card made with the black smooth card.

All to do now was decide the sentiment to use. As said previously, this can be left until the card is ready to be used.

I think you will agree that the coloured background and black card work wonderfully together.....I adore how bright they turned out. All of the Papermilldirect textured card works so well with this technique, the texture showing up beautifully.

Hope you like these little cards, and get time to try something similar.

As always, happy crafting,

Barbara.
