Pretty In Pink

A bright and bold card using just two colours. I have chosen pink and black, but this can be made in any two colours of your choice for any occasion.

Make a card base from a piece of A4 black card, score down the middle and fold. On the inside add a white insert to write a handwritten note. Cut a pink mat sized 5.5 x 8 inches and two pieces of black ribbon about 8 - 9 inches long.

Using any flower dies you have, cut several sets in the same pink and black card you have used for the base. Assemble the flowers, randomly mixing the colours in each bloom. Finish with an embellishment in the centre. I have chosen matt enamel dots in the same colours, but you could add a bit of bling instead; your choice. Distress the petals and arrange up and down to add dimension.

Prepare the sentiments. Stamp your chosen words on black and heat emboss with a white embossing powder. Die cut the word friend (or anything you like) in each card colour and stick the two pieces together using pink for the shadow and black for the top.

Pretty In Pink Sentiment

Assemble all of the prepared pieces. Position the two pieces of ribbon diagonally across opposite corners and stick ends down at the back using any tape.

Position the sentiments in the middle strip, however you like. I added a black heat embossed heart. The shadow die cut was fixed with glue and the sentiment strip popped up on a bit of foam tape.

Arrange the flowers in the corners and stick down with glue.

I finished with a Wink of Stella clear pen to add some subtle sheen to the sentiments and the flower centres.

Give it a try.
