Paper-piercing for Spring.....

Hi folks, Barbara back with a pretty, simple card using minimum products.....I received a new floral die in the post and wanted/needed to use it immediately, I'm sure you've all been there ;-)

I chose white hemp card for the layers and Apple Green & Daffodil Yellow for the flowers

To start, I cut one image from the corner of a piece of white hemp, attached double-sided tape to the reverse, then adhered it to a larger 'mat' of white hemp.

Next I stamped the sentiment. I always do this at the beginning, as I've been known to smugde/spoil many a card when leaving the sentiment until last.

The next step was to cut the image again in Apple Green and Daffodil Yellow. The tiny pieces were then placed into the corresponding gap on the main image. I can tell you at this point I was beginning to lose the will to live, not being the most patient crafter.....it was like doing a million-piece jigsaw. However, I persevered.....

Here's a close-up of the image when all the coloured pieces were in place.

All there was left to do,was place 3 small sequins and mount onto a card base and voila!

I think it would look quite pretty with other colours of card as the floral part.....maybe I'll do some more, with various sentiments, as a card like this would suit many occasions.

That's all for today, catch you soon,

Barbara x
