Stamping On Buff Card 3

I made a card blank from a sheet of buff card, however you can also buy buff card blanks ready made. I then cut out a piece of white hemp for matting onto the card blank and a piece of buff card for stamping on. I stamped the flowers onto the piece of buff card in sepia ink and stamped it again onto a scrap of paper to be used as a mask later. I fussy cut the paper image and placed it over the stamped image then stamped the script stamp over it so the script looked to be at the back of the flowers. The greeting was stamped and heat embossed.

I coloured the image with distress oxide inks and added white pen and glitter to the flower heads. Gesso was watered down and flicked lightly over the panel giving a speckled effect.

Stamping On Buff Card 2

The stamped panel was mounted onto the white hemp then onto the card blank. I then added a few sequins and white domes to finish the card.

By masking your stamped images you can create layers of stamping one behind the other and create some fabulous one layer cards.
