Hi everyone,

Nicole here with a fun project using a stamp set and showing you how you can layer up a stamp set to get a fun effect on your cards. For this project I used:

I started off by paper piecing the larger of the two submarine stamps in the set. I have previous tutorials on the Papermilldirect blog on this technique. This stamp is a very simple and fun one to do with this, and the Papermilldirect card colours are so varied it gives you a lot of options.

I then die cut a circle from a square of card just slightly smaller than a square card base. I added a panel of the turquoise card in behind this. But before I stuck it down I stamped out the wave stamp from the set, cut it out and added it at the bottom, and made sure to not stick the two blue layers together. This meant I could slot the submarine in between the wave and the background.

I added a circle stitched frame, the sentiment and some 'splash' stickers I have had in my stash for ages!

That was the card done, one stamp set to make a fun little scene that you could make as detailed as you like!
