Good morning!

I love making baby cards and also using Papermilldirect slate coloured card, so I thought it would be nice to make a baby card with the Slate Grey Smooth Card 240gsm with a hint of sparkle!

The products I used are:

You will also need:

  • Die cutting machine
  • Card front panel die
  • Hooray die
  • Elephant stamp
  • Copic Markers
  • Gems or sequins

To start with I made my card base. I used a piece of Slate Grey Smooth Card 240gsm which I trimmed down, scored and folded in half. For my die cut panel I run a piece of White Card Super Smooth 300gsm through my cutting machine and adhered this down onto my card front using some Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml. I then die cut the word hooray using some Natural Cumbria Colour Card 270gsm a few times and adhered these words together using some more Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml. I then die cut the word once more using a piece of Silver Sparkle Card 280gsm. This was then adhered onto the back of the other pieces and I slightly moved this so that the glitter shows through. I adhered this onto my card front with some more Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml.

I then got a piece of White Card Super Smooth 300gsm and stamped the elephant image. I then used my copic markers to colour him in. After cutting the stamp out I adhered him onto my card using some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

To finish off the card I added some gems which I adhered down using some more Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml.

You can change the colours on this to make a baby girl card too.

I hope you have fun creating this card!

Have a lovely day!
