Good morning.

Papermilldirect have some beautiful dark colours of card and I love adding them to my cards.

The products I used are:

You will also need:

  • Large flower stamp
  • Stitched die
  • Versafine black ink
  • Clear embossing powder
  • White embossing powder
  • Heat Gun
  • Watercolour paints
  • Sequins
  • Nuvo drops

Potential

To make the card base I trimmed down a piece of Antracite Sirio Colour Card 290gsm to 4 1/4 and scored this in half. I then trimmed down a piece of Slate Grey Smooth Card 240gsm and run this through my die cutting machine using the stitched die. I then trimmed this to fit on the card.

For the flower I used a piece of White Card Super Smooth 250gsm and stamped this with Versafine black ink and then set some clear embossing powder over the top. I then heated this with my heat tool. This is now ready for you to watercolour. Once this is done I trimmed the flower and adhered this onto my card base using some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

For the greeting I heat embossed some white embossing powder onto a piece of Black Plain Card 250gsm and trimmed this. I adhered the greeting on my card with some more Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

To finish the card off I added some sequins and nuvo drops.

I love how the colours really stand out next to the grey card. I hope you have fun making this card.
