Copper Snowman 7

Hi All,

Nicole here today to share a Christmas card with you today. I am still working on building up my stockpile! I wanted to take a look at using a bit of a different colour combo than usual, and wanted to use one of the colours that is very trendy at the moment - copper. I used:

  • Papermulldirect Copper Lustre card
  • Papermilldirect Christmas Red card
  • Papermilldirect Black Smooth card
  • Ppaperilldirect White Plain card
  • Papermilldirect Buff card
  • Snowman cut file from Silhouette Store

When I am cutting a file on my Silhouette I like to place all my papers down at once and only run through the machine once. This is also a great opportunity to use up all those scraps you tend to hoard.

Once cut I used glossy accents to adhere all the pieces together. I use the image from the Silhouette store as my reference image.

I cut a panel of balck card and used my home made snowfall stencil to sponge white ink onto it to to make a snowy background.

I cut out some snowy hills by hand and stuck these onto the black background. I then stuck this onto a copper panel, and then onto a white card base.

I used foam tape to add the snowman on and it looks like he is standing in a snowy night sky.

The final touch was a sentiment cut from white card on the Silhouette. I love the combination of the copper and red together, especially against the black and white. I hope you enjoy it too!
