Aquamarine Coloured Birthday Card

Hello everyone, Sylvia here with a 65th birthday card. The design was built round the Aquamarine Nettuno linen effect 280gsm card I used to cut out the fern, the colour and texture are gorgeous and ideal for this type of special card.

The background was created using my Tim Holtz spritzer tool and distress markers. I spritzed broken glass and cracked pistachio onto a cut out square of papermilldirect white linen 255gsm card then very lightly spritz with water so the colours did not mix too much and left to air dry.

While the coloured panel was drying I die cut a Sizzix fern die from the aquamarine Nettuno linen effect 280gsm card and the hexagon and a large square from white linen card. I used a sheet of A4 white linen to make the card blank. The greeting was stamped onto the coloured panel and the number 65 onto the hexagon using blue ink.

The die cut fern was added to the coloured panel, the hexagon and hessian cord were tied round just below the fern and greeting. I layered this panel onto the larger panel with 3D sticky pads, then matted this onto the card blank. The card was finished with a few blue crystals, sequins and dots of Perfect Pearls.
