Hi Sylvia here, with details of how to make this anniversary card.

Dsc07476 Copy

I made a card blank 15cm x 15cm with papermilldirect cream linen cardstock.  The image was stamped directly onto the card blank using sepia Archival ink, this was then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  The image was coloured randomly with distress inks in abandoned coral, spiced marmalade and fossilized amber.  The sentiment was stamped in brown and heat embossed too.

Butterfly Detail

The butterfly was die cut and dry embossed, I used a brayer to roll sepia ink over the raised areas and heat embossed wiith clear embossing powder to highlight the details on the wings.  The butterfly was coloured with distress markers in abandoned coral, spiced marmalade and fossilized amber.  I used 3D foam pads to attach it to the card.

Materials Used to make this Anniversary Card

  • Archival Ink in sepia
  • Stampers Anonymous stamp set Classics#3
  • Tim Holtz/Sizzix Butterfly Duo - die and embossing folder
