Good morning!

Today I will be showing you how to create this fun summer shaker card!

The products I used are:

You will also need:

  • Seaside stamps (or your choice of stamps)
  • circle die
  • die cutting machine
  • acetate
  • markers
  • white embossing powder
  • heat gun
  • sequins

To start with I made my card base using a piece of White Card Super Smooth 300gsm which I cut in half, scored and folded. I then cut down a piece of Turquoise Colour Card 240gsm to an A5 size. You will also need to do this with a piece of White Card Super Smooth 300gsm. You should now have two pieces of A5 card.

With your piece of Turquoise Cumbria Colour Card 270gsm you will need to die cut a circle. This will leave you with a window. After this you need to cut a piece of acetate and adhere this down behind your window. I used some Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml for this and placed a stamp block onto both pieces while it dried.

Now with your A5 piece of White Card Super Smooth 300gsm I stamped a whole scene onto this, as this will show through your window. I also stamped all my sea creatures too and coloured them in on a separate piece of White Card Super Smooth 300gsm. You will then need to cut all your images out except the ones that are on your A5 White Card Super Smooth 300gsm.

Its now time to make the shaker. I used some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm and placed this around my White Card Super Smooth 300gsm backer. This piece will be visible through your shaker window. Your card front will cover the foam tape so be careful not to get any tape near your window. I then added sequins and placed my card front carefully over the top. Now your shaker card is nearly complete. I added the sea creatures around the circle window.

The last step is to get a piece of Black Plain Card 250gsm and heat emboss your sentiment. I then placed this on the bottom of the card using some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm. I then added some sequin stones to finish the card off. These were adhered down using Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml.

I hope you have fun creating this shaker card!
