Hi all,

Nicole here to share a gatefold card made using some fun supplies. I used:

  • Papermilldirect White Super Smooth Card
  • Papermilldirect White Hammered Card
  • Altenew Vintage Roses Stamps
  • Altenew Label Love Stamps
  • Altenew Red Cosmos Dye ink selection
  • Weathered Wood Distress Ink and Brick Stencil
  • Scissors & adhesive

I stamped the vintage roses on the super smooth card. They are multiple step images, requiring 3 - 4 colours of inks in layers to build up the image. I used the die inks to get the best impressions, and the super smooth card works beautifully with this. I let them dry and then cut them out.

Gate 3

I created a gatefold card from the hammered white card.

Gate 4

I used a stencil and weathered wood distress ink to ink a brick background on the card base.

Gate 6

I laid out the roses and leaves across the card to get a layout idea.

Gate 7

I then used the Label Love stamp ste to add a sentiment.

Gate 8

This sentiment also allows for one of the flowers to tuck under the sentiment to keep the card closed.

Gate 9

This was a fun one to make and would work in any colour scheme too!
