How to Create Many Cards with ONE Die

Hi again......just wanted to show you a few cards made with only ONE die but using different backgrounds. The die I've used is called Bethlehem Scene, by Brittania Dies.

I cut 4 pieces of smooth black cardstock and 1 white hammered.

I love making backgrounds with Brusho paints, and often a small piece will come in very handy as a 'sky' background. I stamped a generic sentiment with Versamark ink,  heat-embossed it, and mounted onto a white hammered card base.

This is another Brusho background, which I think suits the die perfectly. This card reminds me of Morocco, one of our most favourite holiday destinations.

On this card, I've used a piece of double-sided adhesive, and sprinkled 'Glamourdust' over the 'sticky' part to make a lovely glittery background.

This background uses gilding flakes......and I've got to say it's one of the messiest techniques ever. I love getting inky & messy, but sticky & messy is a no-no! The gilding flakes are rubbed over a double-sided adhesive sheet, then burnished to give a lovely mixed coloured shiny background.

Here is a closer look at the gilding flake background, done on white linen textured cardstock.......

Cutting the die in white hammered cardstock gives a completely different look. I've mounted the die-cut onto navy smooth cardstock and stamped a few stars using a tiny stamp from Lavinia Stamps, and a sentiment from Inkylicious.

Well, that's all for now, back soon with some more Christmas tags.

Barbara.

What a wonderful set of cards, love the gilding flakes but know what you mean about sticky and messy. Will have to try some of the other techniques though!
