Bored At Work 9

Hi all,

Nicole here today to share a fun project with you, to show you how sometimes challenging yourself can be fun. I had a really fun image from Bloobel Stamps, called Bored at Work and while I thought it was fun I didn't quite know how to use it on a traditional card. So then I decided why not just have fun and work outside the box. I had a bit of a brainstorm and came up with an idea for using the image. I decided the poor guy would be so bored at work nothing could motivate him. NOTHING at all!

To make this card I started off by using Papermilldirect smooth white card to make a frame to give a window effect. I laid this over an image I printed off the internet of some meteors and trimmed off the excess.

I then fussy cut out my image so that he could sit in front of the window.

I then used foam pads to stick the 'window' onto my card base. I used Smooth Grey card for the card base, figuring it would be like a depressing office wall for a depressed office worker!

I then die cut a thought bubble using a Lawn Fawn die, and more smooth white card . I hand wrote my sentiment on it. I then also stuck my poor office worker onto the card front in front of the window. If that doesn't motivate him, then I guess nothing will!

Sometimes an image that you think is not your usual style can be fun to work with, and can give you a break from the norm. It can allow you to make a project just for the fun of it, which is always nice!
