Hello again.  I am fully recovered from a really nasty bout of flu and back to my crafting self!  While I was feeling sorry for myself and to cheer myself up, I ordered some Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens which I have been wanting for ages.  The ink in them is water based and not alcohol based like Copics so that you can use water & a brush to blend them, although they blend really nicely without water.  I have spent the weekend experimenting and learning how they work and this is the card I came up with.

I used 2 markers on the bear & grass without using water to blend them and everywhere else I used water to blend the colours out.  I have used some Glossy Accents on his nose and heart and some Wink of Stella on the envelope.  I have to admit that this card started out differently to the finished one.  I originally watercoloured straight onto a piece of card that was 4.25" x 5.5" but when I hurridly stamped the sentiment below the bear,  a few of the letters didn't stamp properly.   I have also recently purchased a MISTI stamping tool which enables you to accurately stamp images and re-stamp them again in exactly the same place should you need to and is one of the tools I couldn't now do without....did I use it to stamp the sentiment - NO!  Lesson learned.  So I had to die cut the bear out of the larger piece of card avoiding the messed up sentiment!

I mounted the bear onto a circle of Black card which was then mounted onto some White Super Smooth card cut out using a scalloped rectangle die and then this was mounted onto a White Linen card base.  I also added some little white dots to his tummy for contrast.

I have to say that I have really enjoyed using these new markers - yes there is a learning curve but they are so versatile and I can see me using them a lot in the future.

I have listed below the products used to make this card:-
