You Make My Tail Wag - Partial Die Cutting

Hello.  Wendy here with a card using some partial die cutting which I've not tried before.  I love dogs so having just recently bought a stamp with some cute doggies in it, I thought I would incorporate one into my card.

A monochrome card is something I haven't tried before either (I like bright colours or pastels) but it fitted in with the colour of the dog.

I first of all drew a line on some white card and then lined up the 'Birthday' and dog dies so that part of them fell below the line.  I then put this through my Big Shot machine to cut them but only putting the top cutting plate on the line I had drawn so it wouldn't cut all the way through the dies...hard to explain without pictures!  I coloured in the dog with copic markers and then stamped the word 'Birthday' several times and die cut it out and layered them on top to give the word a dimensional look.

You can see how nice and thick the die cut is once layered.  I then placed this white layer onto the black card base using some foam strips and added a few bones to finish off the card....oh and of course put some Glossy Accents on the dog's nose to make it nice and shiny!

Hope it made you smile!
