This week, the design team were asked to come up with a Valentine's project that needed no cutting machines or die cutters so I decided to make a card completely by hand just using scissors, ink and glue.  It actually proved harder than I thought but I eventually came up with this card and gift tag.

I did have some watercolour paper but as not everyone does, I thought I would try out Papermilldirect's White Hammered Card instead to see how it would react to having water on it.  I was really surprised with the results.  Instead of watercolours, I used an ink pad refill (dye ink) mixed with some water.  I wet the hammered card slightly before applying the ink and used 2 different colours.  The card didn't wrinkle or warp which most cardstocks would so I shall definitely use it again for more watercolour projects.

The heart was drawn and cut by hand and the longest part of making this card and tag was waiting for the ink to dry!  Hope you like them.  Please stop by my blog Pink and Dotty to see my other crafty makes.
