Birthday Balloons

Hi all,

Nicole here today to share a fun birthday card for a little girls first birthday. On this one I used:

• Papermilldirect Pastel Pink Card
• Papermilldirect Powder Pink Lustre card
• Papermilldirect Cordovan Lustre Print Card
• Papermilldirect Violet Lustre Print Card
• Papermilldirect Pastel Blue Card
• Papermilldirect Blackcurrant Envelope
• Papermilldirect Silver Sandgrain Card

I used a lot of pinks on this card, and used my Silhouette to create some over sized balloons. I 'tied' the balloons to the number 1 that I also cut out with the Silhouette. I added them all onto the blue card as the sky. I stamped the happy birthday and to add to the number.

I love all the shimmer in the balloons from all the lustre card, this is my go to card for these special occasion cards!

I also love using the Papermilldirect coloured envelopes with the cards I make like this, as they are really heavy weight and luxurious and the range in colours is just fantastic. For this card I actually used a bold contrasting coloured envelope rather than more pink, just for the extra pop of colour. It photographed a bit darker than it is in real life - this winter light is not very friendly for photographs. But it is a great fun element to the card!
