Card making Tutorial - Quick & Colourful…....0
Hi Bloggers, Barbara here with another quick tutorial for doing some 'double-stencilling'......not a new idea in the crafting world, but new to me.
I started off with the supplies above, matching my Papermilldirect coloured card to the colours of ink I was using. The base card is white 'hemp'....my 'go to' fave at the moment.
I laid the stencil onto a piece of hemp, 5"x5" and lightly applied ink through it.
Next step was to lie a piece of sequin waste, or any other bits of stencils, across the part already coloured. I used the same colour ink, but pressed a bit harder to give a slightly darker shade. LEAVE THE FIRST STENCIL IN PLACE.
I continued across the middle of the card, using various colours of ink, until I'd completely filled the middle section.
Next step was to cut the 'happy' sentiment THREE times from black smooth card, and mount them on top of each other.
I stamped the tiny sentiment with Versamark and heat embossed in white.
To finish, I mat & layered the 'topper' onto matching colours of card, interspersing with white hemp.
I love the effect of this type of card and went on to make a few more very similar. I know whichever inks I choose, there will always be a matching card colour from Papermilldirect.
Same style, different colours & sentiment.....but just as effective, don't you think?
Back soon with another inky tutorial, stay warm,
