What is Pick ‘n’ Mix?
This is one of the many unique things about papermilldirect! Not for our customers the old one colour per box thing, no we give you the flexibility to pick up to 8 products per box (depending on the box size). We know, it will be hard to make those choices, what with the fantastic range of colours, grammages and textures!
What are your Special Offers?
Every now and then our warehouse staff need to have a good old spring clean, which is lucky for us because we get our hands on some one off specials of the same great quality that we are able to offer you at amazing prices – hurrah for tidy warehouses!
Do you always stock the same colours?
The whites, ivories and rich cream shades should always be the same, that’s something we pride ourselves on – continuation of supply!
However sometimes those naughty dye suppliers change one of their colours slightly so occasionally a coloured shade will change, therefore it is important that you buy enough card for your project!
What sheet sizes do you offer?
You’ll be thrilled to know that we stock all sizes from A4 to A1. For those of you not in the know here is a helpful table to tell you exactly what size is what:
|Width (mm)||Height (mm)|
Brace yourself here comes a boring (but important) bit:
All of our paper and card is guillotined in house and is cut to the allowed tolerances of the Paper Federation guidelines of ISO 215: +/-2mm for dimensions above 150mm up to 600mm, and +/- 3mm for dimensions above 600mm.
All of our paper and card is produced in house and is manufactured to allowed tolerances of +/-5% of grammage stated as per General Trade Rules revised 1980.
What sizes of envelopes do you stock?
Here is another ever so helpful table to help you decide on the ideal envelope:
|C7||82 x 113 or 89 x 117||Ideal for RSVP's|
|C6||114 x 162||Can hold an A4 sheet of paper folded in four|
|C5||229 x 162||Can hold an A4 sheet of paper folded in half|
|DL||110 x 220||Can hold an A4 sheet of paper folded in three|
|SQ||146 x 146||Not sure what you'd do with these, but they are very popular!|

Is it safe to order on-line
Now we know you need more than this so here comes some more jargon (stay awake you at the back!)
We realise how important it is that we securely store any information you provide, so we maintain the highest levels of security. Our site uses high level SSL encryption technology, the most advanced security software currently available for online transactions. You can therefore rest assured that we take the privacy and security of your payment and personal details very seriously.
When you place an order you may see a box appear on your screen which displays some information from your bank. It may say “Verified by Visa” or Mastercard Secure Code”. You will be asked to provide some digits from your password that you have save with your card. It is not the same password that you may have used to log into our site.
I have a voucher code – how do I use it?
At the checkout you will see a space for you to enter the code, this will then automatically take off whatever lovely offer we have given you – it may be discount or money off.
Only one voucher may be used per transaction and the voucher may not be exchanged for cash – just our beautiful card and paper!
We hope there isn’t any but here’s what you do if there is!
I’ve just placed my order – can I change it?
Please contact us by email or phone as soon as possible and Julie or Kath will do their best to help.
I’ve placed my order – can I cancel it?
Again, please contact us by email or phone as soon as possible and we are sure that Julie and Kath will do their very best to prevent your order being despatched. (They have been known to rugby tackle the postman – that’s how dedicated they are!!) However if your order has already left you will need to return the goods (see ‘I want to return an item’).
My order is wrong
In the unlikely event of your order being wrong in some way - a missing item or you’ve received the wrong product (even our lovely packers have an off day!) Please contact us via our contact us page or phone (01539 818488). We will need your order number so we see what is incorrect.
I’ve received a damaged or faulty item
First of all, we are very, very sorry! Second of all please contact us via our contact us page or phone (01539 818488). Again we will need your order number at this point.
We need you to check your order as soon as you receive it and notify us within 48hrs of any problems, otherwise we will assume that all is OK – thanks for this.
I want to return an item
We want you to be happy with whatever you’ve bought from us (there is nothing worse than an unhappy customer – it makes us sad )
So if you decide for whatever reason that you want to return an item all you have to do is notify us within 7 days that you are returning goods. Package it back up and post it to the address on your invoice. To make sure your return gets processed correctly at this end, please include all your details and whether you require a refund (which will be paid within 30 days) or an exchange.
We don’t want to be picky, but your returned goods must reach us in a saleable condition!
As ever there is some legal stuff covering this kind of thing so buckle up here it comes:
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.
You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 7 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning goods, so you should take out extra postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not effect your rights when we are at fault – for example, if the goods are faulty or miss-described.
I want to check out your card and paper before I buy, can I?
Yes of course, you can order up to 10 samples, just follow this link:
We are happy to talk 'trade' prices with the business people out there. Please either email email@example.com or call Julie or Kathleen on 01539 818488 to discuss your needs.
