A ‘Last-Minute’ Mother’s Day Card…..0
Hi everyone, Barbara back with a tutorial for making a Mother's Day card with ink, a stencil and embossing paste.
The stencil is from Clarity and I've used it on white 'hopsack' cardstock.....
Lay the stencil over your chosen card stock and tape down. (I was naughty and didn't do this as I was hurrying)
Ink through the stencil with your choice of colours.......I've used Adirondack inks from Ranger for this....I love how vivid they are.
Remove the stencil, clean it and lay back over the inked design......cover with TRANSLUSCENT texture paste then remove the stencil and wash immediately.
Now, lay the piece of card in a box, I've used the lid from an A4 storage box. I then covered the pasted design with Micro Beads from Creative Expressions. These, as the name suggests are tiny, AND they jump all over, when released from the pot, hence the box! My laptop hates them, and has been covered many times!!.......
Set aside to dry completely, I leave mine overnight.
I die-cut a sentiment 3 times and stuck them on top of each other to give height, then adhered them to the image. A tiny sentiment on black card finished off the card 'topper'
All I did then was some matting & layering onto a base card.
Hope this has inspired you to try using stencils and texture paste.....the effects are fabulous.
Catch you soon,
