Special 1st Birthday Card

Hi everyone,

Nicole here with a card to share for a very special birthday - a little girls first birthday! This birthday was just a few days into the new year, but being a little girl everything had to be pink and pretty. So it is a big break from all the Christmassy projects of late! For this project I used:

• Papermilldirect Pastel Pink Card
• Papermilldirect Pastel Pink Card base
• Papermilldirect Powder Pink Lustre card
• Patterned paper
• Star die
• Altenew Birthday stamps
• Lawn Fawn alphabet stamps

I started with one of the new Papermilldirect card blanks, that matches the card perfectly. This saves so much time, it is brilliant. I then made layers of the pastel pink card and patterned paper. From the top layer of the patterned paper I die cut a star out from it. In behind this star I laid a piece of the Powder Pink lustre card. This gives the top of the card a bit of extra sparkle and shimmer.

On this piece I stamped the sentiment. I used the alphabet set to add in the 1st to make it a first birthday sentiment.

I laid all the pieces together and that was it, as pink and girly a first birthday card as you could get! I added some gem centers to some of the flowers on the patterned paper to add some sparkle and shimmer too. What little girl doesn't like sparkle?!
