Shirt Card 6

Hi All,

Nicole here with you today to share a gift card holder perfect for men. It could be used for many occasions, and can be decorated accordingly. It is fun and easy to make and needs very few supplies. I used:

  • Papermilldirect Slate Grey card
  • Papermilldirect Maize Laid Texture Card (special offer card)
  • Circle punch
  • Envelope punch board
  • Adhesive

I started with a panel as a base for the gift card, I made it an average card size, so 10.5cm wide by 15cm high.

I then took a panel of the slate grey card and cut this 9cm high and 21cm long. I scored this at approximately 7cm in each side.

I then folded these sides in to make my shirt and folded down the tops to make the collar.I glued this down with wet glue along the shirt bottom and closure, and foam tape at the collar to keep dimension.

For the bow I cut strips and used this technique here to use my We R Memory Keepers envelope maker to make a small bow. You can also use a printable template from the internet to trace out and cut one out on the card too, that also works well.

I added the bow onto the shirt, glued on some buttons and it was done. I cut a panel of the maize card to add as an insert into the shirt, and used the circle punch to act as a pull tab to get it to slide in and out. I glued the gift card onto this. You could also decorate this as a card for any occasion.

This was really fun to make and you could dress it up so many ways depending on the card colours you used!
