Cute New Baby Owl Card - Paper Piecing

Hello,It's Nessa here and today I have a cute New Baby card to share-it features two of my favourite things,Owls and paper piecing! ...

I used a Docrafts stamp to make my little Owl,stamping him out once onto some white hammered card to make a base owl,then stamped him out several times onto some pretty patterned blue papers from my stash.I  cut out all the individual pieces and then pieced them back together again onto the base ...

I added some inking,extra pen detail  to the feathers around his eyes and a tiny dot of Liquid Pearls to give his eyes a little twinkle! ..

I die cut the lettering from pale turquoise card with a Xcut Alphabet die and a Clearly Besotted word die inking the edges of the card for extra depth ..

I die cut a Sizzix frame,added it to a white hammered card base and finsihed off the card with some white Organza ribbon ...

I hope you like my New Baby Owl card today-and if you have never tried paper piecing before have a try!It is great fun and you can change the look of the image according to the colours/patterns of paper you use-this little Owl looks great in bright,funky colours too!
