Negative die cut flowers

Hi all,

Nicole here with a creative use of negative die cutting for you all inspired by a beautiful card I saw over on Pinterest. You can see the Pin here, and the card details here  and the card itself in the image below.

So I grabbed some supplies and go making inspired by this. I used:

• Papermilldirect White Card
• Papermilldirect White Linen Card
• Watercolour card
• Kuratake Gansai watercolour paints and paint brush
• Stamping Bella Mason Jar of Flowers stamp and matching die

I stamped the image on the watercolour card and did some messy watercolouring, and put some splatters of the colour on it too. I then took the white linen card and cut it to slightly smaller than the size of my card front. I placed the die cut where I wanted it and ran it through my Big Shot machine. I stamped my sentiment on then. I then added lots of foam tape to the back of this panel and lined it up with the now dry coloured image and adhered it down. I then made a card base from the smooth white card and adhered the panel to the card base. I resisted the urge to add anything more and left it at that!

I love how the raised negative die cut panel seems to make the image pop that much more. Such a simple technique, but one I can certainly see myself using more!
