Luxury Artist Pad

Hi Shary here and today I'd like to do a little review on the Luxury Artist Pad from Papermill.  It is A4 in size and contains 20 sheets of 300gsm watercolour paper.  You can find it over in the here. I like to use lots of mediums in my projects so thought I would try out the pad to see if it held up well and I wasn't disappointed. First I cut out some tags using my Silhouette Cameo, it cut them out beautifully. Then I started adding my mediums.

For this one I have used Tim Holtz distress inks and an applicator. I blended the inks all over the tag, the paper allows it to blend perfectly. I then stamped onto the top of the inks with Memento ink.

This one has been done by stamping with versamark ink and then dusting Perfect Pearl mica powders over the image. Looks really pretty.

I wanted to see how well the paper held up with something quite "wet" so I tried these spray inks. First I sprayed the tag with water. Three different colours were randomly sprayed on top of the water and it held up well, no buckling , no sogginess. On top of that lot I stamped onto it with memento ink and then used a clear embossing powder over it. So it also took the heat well. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Again this one was using water. These are Twinkling H2O watercolour pots. You add water to them to make a nice consistency and then paint with them. I made the background with 3 different colours and then stamped with versamark and embossed with a white embossing powder. Again no sign of buckling at all.

For this tag I painted over the tag with acrylic paints in two colours. I then used a mask and texture paste to create , well, texture lol. You have to leave this to dry for a while. When dry I went over the tag with a distress ink to make the circles pop. To finish off I added some perfect pearl drops.

And my last tag has a grungy look. It has been dry embossed with an embossing folder and then I have rubbed in two colours of gilding wax. So as you can see the luxury paper can take anything you wish to throw at it. None of my tags buckled, tore, went soggy or anything like that. They all remained flat. I'd thoroughly recommend it to anyone who uses any sort of mediums.

I hope this was a helpful review and you'll give it a go with your projects. Shary x
