I love getting my watercolours out, so this card was great fun to create, and makes for a very cool look also! For this card I used:

I started off by using two shades of green on the water colour and created a marbled background. I didn't go for full coverage as I wanted it to be organic looking. I then added gold splatters to it for some shimmer.

I then cut some holly leaves and berries from the dark green and ruby red card.

I cut a panel of the ruby red card to fit a card base, and then cut down down the water coloured panel to fit onto this red panel. I stamped my sentiment on the water coloured panel then, in a nice dark black ink to make it stand out nicely.

I then glued the holly and berries onto the card front. I added some foam tape under the leaves to give some dimension.

I think the watercolour with the shimmer gives a great effect. I also added some glossy accents on the berries.

If you wanted to make this card and not do a watercolour background, you could always recreate it using patterned paper as I did below.

I hope you like this, and that you get inspired to try the method on your own cards.
