Hello it's Angela here to share a simple card design Tutorial with you.  This week the Design Team are working on the theme of 'cards suitable for Anniversaries and / or celebrations'.  If you have visited the website recently you will notice a lot of new products are slowly being added and the team are very excited to be working with lots of new colours and finishes. I particularly like the textured finish on the Silver Sandgrain and have chosen to work with this card teaming it with the popular White Linen to create a simple card design suitable for Weddings, Anniversarys, or just because cards.  The simple design means it can be replicated easily for batch making.

1 2 Silver Pic Monkey Collage

I created my card base by simply scoring and folding a sheet of Papermilldirect A4 White Linen cardstock and trimmed it down to create a 5 3/4" square card blank.  (you could of course make it bigger perhaps 6" square if you prefer).  Position the largest of the Love Arch dies centrally onto the front of your card base, secure with tape and run through die cutting machine.  Take the smaller Love Arch die and it's cutting surround die and cut from PMD Silver Sandgrain card.

Use the surround die again, this time by itself and cut the shape from PMD New Lilac card to create a mat for your silver die cut panel. Add d/s tape and / or glue to back of silver panel and mat onto the lilac shape so edges line up.

Cut a square of Silver Sandgrain card approx. 5 1/2" square and adhere inside card, so the silver effect shows through the cut outs on the front of the card.  Next die cut a sentiment from PMD White Linen card, I have used the 'LOVE' heart shape from a First Edition Wedding set.  Add a piece of PMD New Lilac card to the back of the sentiment so it shows through the 'LOVE' lettering on the front.

Add silver & lilac matted panel to card front using d/s tape and / or glue to the centre part only.  To finish, add the 'LOVE' sentiment heart to the centre and a sparkly clear adhesive gem to the middle of the letter 'O'.

I love the textured finish on the Silver Sandgrain card and by teaming it with White Linen, it creates an elegant finish to your cards.  This is a simple design and you could change the Lilac accent colour to match Wedding or Anniversary themes, as well as changing the centre piece or sentiment.
