Hello, it's Angela here to share a little Christmas card idea with you.  All you need is a little stamp set, some inks and some Papermilldirect card, no die cutting or electronic machines for this one.  Clear stamp sets are really good value, you can stamp them again and again and bring your favourite sets out to play each year. They are idea for batch making too, simply stamp a batch of toppers and /or backgrounds and have them all ready to use.  By using simple square mats you can increase or reduct the sizes easily without the need for a die cutter.

How to:

Using the Clearly Besotted ‘Little Pudding’ clear stamp set, take the small holly leaf and stamp it onto a sheet of Papermilldirect white hammered card using a green ink, then stamp the berries in place using a red ink.

Create a little mask for the holly leaf by stamping the holly again onto scrap paper or a post it note and then cut out the image. Place the cut out version over your previously stamped image (to protect it whilst stamping the pudding shape).  Stamp the pudding shape, using brown ink, carefully in place so that the holly leaf appears to be on top.  Lift away the mask to reveal the completed pudding.

Stamp sentiment of ‘Christmas Greetings’ under the pudding using red ink.  Trim the stamped panel down to measure approx. 3” x 3” and mat onto a slightly larger panel of PMD Mocha Brown card using double sided tape.

Cut another mat layer set as follows, 4” x 4” PMD white hammered card matted onto a slightly larger square of PMD Christmas Red card, using double sided tape.  Wrap holly printed ribbon around this panel and secure ends on the reverse, add little ‘tails’ of ribbon to right hand side.

Step 5 Dsc05400

Score & Fold Papermilldirect A4 white hammered card in half and then trim down to create a 5” x 5” card base.  Using green ink and the small holly leaf stamp around the edges of the card front, allowing some of the leaves to go ‘off the page’.

Step 2 B Dsc05392

Assemble card as follows, using 3D foam pads adhere the pudding stamped topper centrally onto the red card mat set.  Then adhere the whole panel to the card front using double sided tape.

To finish add 3 small red adhesive gems to the berries on the pudding, and add a larger red gem to the holy print ribbon.
