Hi there,

Nicole here to share a make with you presenting a gift card for fathers day. It is always much more fun presenting gift cards in a nice way, instead of just inside a card. For this I used:

  • Papermilldirect Buff card
  • Papermilldirect Ivory paper plain

I used a piece of paper to make a rough template, you can see this below. I cut the card to 23.7cm long and folded it in half length ways.

Keep the piece you cut off as this will be used to make a pocket for the gift card. Fold the card in half again to make a wallet shape.

Step 2 Card Holder Dad

I repeated these steps in the Buff card. I used a strong tape (red line) to adhere the sides together.

Step 3 Card Holder Dad

Once you fold the card back down onto the tape you have a wallet with an opening on the top for 'money' or in my case, a note. I left the note sticking up a lot so it was quite obvious.

I used the excess piece that was cut off and stuck that on with red line tape after rounding the corners to make the pocket for the gift card.

Dad Card Holder 2

I die cut a shape for the front and stamped DAD on this. I added some faux stitching onto it also. I used a gold thread for this.

I think this is a really fun way to present a gift card, and makes it that bit more exciting for the reciever!
