SVG Easter Boxes

Hello it’s Lisa here with a cute handmade gift idea for Easter. If you have an electronic die cutter which is able to cut SVG files then these little Easter Egg shaped gift boxes are perfect to make up for Easter. You can fit a medium sized Easter Egg in them too so they’d be a much prettier way to gift them than the standard, branded packaging.

I made these using the Poplar Street Tulips SVG kit from SVGCuts. Here are all of my pieces cut out. I tend to plan out what embellishments etc I want to add before making up the project and then add a few more finishing touches at the end. So here I have some Lori Whitlock bunny digital cut files and some digital papers and digital embellishment from Echo Park’s Hippity Hoppitty mini theme which I purchased from Jessica Sprague. I printed the papers and elements onto Papermill Direct white linen card and the base of the box is cut from the 240gsm card which was on offer a few weeks ago (Papermill’s plain white card will work just as well).

Here’s the base of the box all assembled. SVGCuts have assembly videos on their YouTube channel. I know, as it stand at the moment it’s not all that pretty but once you’ve added the outer panels it’ll look totally gift worthy!

My finished box! I added some buttons by October Afternoon and some little pink pom poms as the bunny’s tails.

The finished box takes 4 sheets of A4 cardstock for your the base of your box, 2 sheets of A4 if you’re printing the outer box panels like I have and then another sheet or scraps of card for embellishments. I took me about an hour to cut, assemble and decorate the box.

As I mentioned before, you can fit a medium sized Easter egg into this box but it would also be super cute as a new baby gift box with a cute little onesie or baby socks inside.
