Inkjet Media Rolls - What are my choices?
We have split our surfaces of paper media rolls into three categories. The first, 'photographic' contains those papers that are considered to be used in photographic reproductions, wedding images, landscapes, general photos etc. This section contains Gloss, Pearl and Matt papers. These papers have a nanoporus resin coated surface; this results in sharp detail and excellent colour.
The second section 'Fine Art' contains Soft Textured, Photo Smooth High White Cotton and Canvas Fine Art. These papers are accredited with the Fine Art Trade Guild for their archival properties. They are Acid and Lignin free, the two main contributors to image fade and degradation. When used with pigmented inks the image life is maximised. These papers are generally used for Limited Edition fine art prints, art reproductions etc.
Our third roll section relates to True Canvas rolls. Excellent image density, stretchability and resistant to cracking. A nice natural white that brings something special to the increasingly popular gallery wrapped canvas. As with all inkjet canvas a good bevelled frame with no sharp profiles will assist in a crack free mounting.
