What are inkjet boards and what grades are there?
Our innovative inkjet media boards are perfect for those who own a printer with a straight paper path. These printers are capable of printing onto our 1.3mm thick inkjet boards. This allows the customer to print directly onto the boards and negate the need to mount the print aftwards, in can go striaght in the frame. You may see some of our distributors calling this board 'Frame Ready'.
We have split our surfaces of board media into two categories. The first, 'photographic' contains those boards that are considered to be used in photographic reproductions, wedding images, landscapes, general photos etc. This section contains Gloss, Pearl and Matt papers. These boards have a nanoporus resin coated surface; this results in sharp detail and excellent colour.
The other section 'Fine Art' contains Soft Textured, Photo Smooth High White Cotton and Canvas Fine Art. These pboards are accredited with the Fine Art Trade Guild for their archival properties. They are Acid and Lignin free, the two main contributors to image fade and degradation. When used with pigmented inks the image life is maximised. These boards are generally used for Limited Edition fine art prints, art reproductions etc.
